All direct support schemes should take the form of contracts for the difference (CFD, contract with a fixed price, guaranteed by the state). This applies to nuclear, wind, solar and geothermal energy, as well as hydropower without reservoir.

- "has failed to fulfil the obligation to provide an adequate impact assessment"

The latest compromise of 🇸🇪 presidency limit the way CfDs can apply to existant (nuclear) plants.

The new investment must cover at least 50% of the economic value of the asset after investment, + prolonge the life-time by at least 10 years. 1/5



Still to please Germany and others, it also states that the level of the minimum remuneration protection (throught CfD) and of the upward limit to excess remuneration are proportionate to the cost of the new investment 2/5
