This evening I watched the beautiful @EllieSimmonds1 waltz on @bbcstrictly, it was stunning.
I felt proud to see a disabled woman dancing on prime time TV, not a show about disability, but looking glamorous & dancing so well.
Then I come on here & see...
2/6... that @AllisonPearson in the telegraph called strictly 'woke' today for putting 'inclusion over entertainment' by having Ellie on the show. Personally I am more offended watching Tony Adams try and dance 😂but I can't understand why it is so threatening for some people...

1- After a busy day yesterday (real life meeting that exhausted me) I have now had a bit of time to look at the gov’s announcements for #SocialCare & the media coverage. I am not an economics expert but here are a few of my initial thoughts:
2- I was so disappointed that this was tied up with NHS funding & social care presented as a way to reduce workload on the NHS. Nothing about people’s QoL, being able to be an active citizen, or being able to have #AnEqualLife.
