Day 36, Dec 7, 2021. Elizabeth on the stand all day. Most of the time was cross-exam by the gov’t; a short time was re-direct from the defense team. It was mostly boring and tedious. Here are a few things I noted. Elizabeth answers virtually all questions in a calm, smooth voice. If you didn’t speak English, you would not know she was admitting to bad things. Elizabeth did not recall many things.

Here are interesting, funny and depressing exhibits from Days 33 & 34 (Nov 23 & 29). The exhibits were not available when I posted those days. Both days had Elizabeth on the stand getting questioned by her defense attorney. We saw earlier (see Day 24 Tweets) that Elizabeth had Class B stock which had 100X voting rights which gave her total control and this voting structure was very unusual. On Day 33, the defense attorney showed minutes from the Oct 8, 2013 Theranos Board of Directors meeting.

Day 32.Elizabeth cont’d testifying. My main thought is what a tragic, twisted world when the defense uses emails from the person that killed himself (Ian Gibbons) due to stress that the technology did not work as evidence in trial that Elizabeth concluded the technology did work. Nov 22, 2021. This short day of testimony consisted of emails from Theranos employees to Elizabeth with positive reports about the technology and what it could do. Also many documents showing collaborations with pharma companies. Love fest, as expected.
