Should be noted, Mills never went negative in 2018. She’s deeply uncomfortable directly attacking other Democrats. The fact she’s going negative — not even a contrast ad, just a straight attack ad — is an admission that she’s losing.
It’s smart of her to attack the Reddit posts, which may not have been fully litigated in the public because the tattoo story broke like two days later. But the class optics of a bunch of older, visibly affluent people criticizing Platner, who has an everyman persona, aren’t great
