I met a woman who came from Russia to get married. But since MA only does a 5 year criminal check on the men, his multiple arrests & ROs for domestic abuse, including an attempted murder charge, were left out. Now he beats her every day. I know because he’s my ex. GPD knows too. But instead of keeping her safe, the Georgetown Police chose to tip off the husband that I was trying to help the wife. Does this sound like good police work to you? Is this really how we’re going to continue handling domestic abuse cases? @MassAGO @FBIBoston
