Rev. Bernard Coffindaffer of Craigsville, Nicholas Co. WV. A Methodist preacher who began erecting wooden crosses across Appalachia & The South after receiving a vision from The Holy Ghost instructing him to do so. In his lifetime he erected 1,843 cross clusters (5,526 crosses)
