The most critical thing is that for a risk score calculator to be online & have some clinical utility (scores have multiple limitations) & more importantly not to be detrimental to the patient, it must be based on several key/vital points🧵 2/ When developing the score, you must first define which events you are going to predict and over how long a period of time (1,4,5,10 y). When we apply a score developed to predict a 30-day event & then I want to predict 4 y. events, the score loses its performance significantly

We must begin to assess AORTIC STENOSIS as a cancer-like disease.
Not only is it important to assess the severity (valvular) but we must also assess its gravity: magnitude of impact on the heart, cardiovascular system and how it affects other organs. 1/
