There is a crisis of leadership happening in 🇨🇦. Every party trying to win political points, criticizing other parties and blaming each other. Nobody has shown the ability to find solutions & implement them no matter if their constituents like it or not. Polls don’t make leaders. Politicians trying to win elections & their parties favour instead of doing what’s hard & best for the country. Every decision is weighed & debated for political outcomes. Mandela led from the hardest place in the world. Prison. Leadership is about courage, strength & compassion.

I’ve been doing a lot of media interviews about #IWW2021 and am thinking about the stats I’ve been sharing about the disproportionate negative impact the pandemic has had on women. Thinking about the women who aren’t sleeping, who are juggling child care, parent care and homes. Thinking about the women who are working extra hours to do their jobs while juggling everything else; the ones who have lost their jobs; the women who are struggling to get recognized at work while they barely recognize themselves anymore from being so exhausted and worried.
