It really is a microcosm of America and it's problems lol.

Boomers sell off lake in their town to a private company for line go up.

Years later a budget shortfall means they can't rent beach access to the lake in the middle of their own town. Because it's private they need to have lifeguards because someone can sue the owner of the fuckin LAKE if they get hurt.

To scare people off from swimming they spend 20k dollars dumping rocks all over the beach and putting up no trespassing signs. And then police time patrolling so no one swims lol. It's a bowl of spaghetti laws that optimizes human misery.

Like the land sale stuff. Say you wanna own the side of a mountain but you're really chill about it and let anyone use it.

Little Timmy slips off a boulder and breaks his leg. His parents fucking sue you because it's on your land lol.

So you gotta put up no trespassing signs and enforce it.

This would actually make sense but the system to enable it runs counter to all current popular perspectives on firearms.

The Right cannot bring this about because it requires a level of institution they fundamentally are uncomfortable with.

The main issues plaguing the majority of RW gun culture is that firearms, whether they admit it or not, are primarily a class, status and cultural system.

They get antsy when the "wrong" people start possessing arms for the "wrong" reasons.

A mass civilan armament campaign would run counter to this heavily.

You cannot flex your guns if everyone has them. You cannot place yourself in a privileged class because you have the time and money to train if it was accessible to everyone. You cannot virtue signal your politics if it becomes apolitical.

All this layered ontop of the general failings and results of "tough on crime" goals.

Why I put "Gun Politics" in it's own, separate political catagory.Image Now don't think for a second that I'm swinging just one way, it's the Left's turn.

The fundamental problem with leftist gun culture is that, at it's core, it is reactionary by nature.

Not in the leftist definition of that word, but literal. It is a reaction to RW gun culture. This results in tons of horrible expressions such as:

Red Fudds
Embarrassed "i don't take this gross thing too seriously" libshit
Tender-queer "okay I'll buy guns but only till things calm down" etc.
Etc.

Part of this coming from embarrassment and feeling the need to sell the idea to the rest of a gun hostile left, but also because of a basic reality that is uncomfortable to the Left as a whole:

Gun ownership is at its foundation an Individualistic concept.
You can throw on community defense, radical polycules, mutual aid and any other Lefty concept ontop of it.

In the same way "the core unit of the army is the rifleman" when push comes to shove there is unavoidable personal responsibility inherent in self defense.

One that cannot be collectivized, off loaded, shared or distributed.

This is not a square that cannot be circled. There are choice few people on the left that get this, but the broader wing is allergic to it.Image

I see we're flirting with the stupid idea of deploying the US military into Mexico to fight cartels again.

Reminder that uh... Mexico told us to fuck off regarding this lol. They're not going to give permission. So uh, if you're just cool with illegal military raids in a sovereign country at least be honest about what we're signing up for.Image The relationship with Mexico has already rapidly deteriorated under Biden to the point of directly countering US policy in a few places.

An entire political wedge issue in their elections is regarding the degree they are tolerant of the US meddling in their country.

And recently they're (ironically) dealing with a flood of US remote worker migrants that is causing a political crisis.

Shit is tense rn.

Yeah this is a good of place as any to weigh in on my actual deeper opinions on this decision past just guns, seeming there is actual nuance and depth here which allows me to focus in on the actual points while raising some of my issues with how the "left" is viewing this: Firstly, an overarching theme of the differences highlighted between a court and an agency gets way more murky than the current discourse proscribes and varies wildly depending on the Agency and even the political term.

The current argumentive thrust is that "courts and juries are easier to bribe and woo than agencies who are staffed with experts"

Setting the anarchy hat to the side because this is more a gun thing I focus on.

Why does this keep happening? Why does the high speed, low drag, bear cat and Gucci gear swat teams keep getting fucked up the moment they face serious resistance that they allegedly are specifically tasked (and funded heavily) to deal with?

Well, look at this other case. First factor: Complacency and training.

In fact most SWAT raids aren't hostage situations or hitting some arms dealer. As shown above that one was going after a teenager wanted for theft lol.

This leads to a lax perspective where they just roll up and everything goes right.

Despite the tons of gear and edgy looks these dudes aren't trained to handle fuck all. Most their armed encounters are not North Hollywood it's some drugged out dude or gang banger who's never gone to the range once.

How not to get carjacked 🧵:

Tip 1: This is the hardest one for many of yall cause I know you're a tailgating, ass rider in a hurry but you need SPACING

When you're driving, leave car lengths. When you're at a red light, leave a gap so you can drive out if needed

Don't do this
Image Tip 2:

Hit the fucker.

You're in a giant metal bomb that can get up and go fast. You see a gun pointed at you slam that accerator. Get out clean if you can, get out dirty if you must.

Someone willing to shoot at you while fleeing will likely also shoot you in your seat. Image

I'm gonna take this as a chance to bitch about this.

The whole Kenosha situation? Everything about it, all the discussion, is around Kyle.

Why does that piss me off?

Cause everyone completely forgot about the Kenosha Guard.

How these stupid fucks caused the whole situation 🧵
Image We all know the fuckin story. Shit goes down, Kyle shoots people, yadada.

Everyone got their fucking opinions. I don't care, it's still the least fuckin relevant detail about that night to me

What's more relevant you ask? Why did that situation even fucking happen?

Hmmmm Image

Nah Ace dies on that hill as well.

And it's justified, and not even some anarchist take

It's near universal contemporary military philosophy after Vietnam that saturation bombing and targeting civilian centers to "break will" accomplished fucking nothing and was a horrible idea One we thought we mostly moved passed and is why plenty of people were horrified to see it come back when Russia invaded Ukraine.

It's a shit relic of historical military thinking and every instance of it happening regardless of the target is a tragedy.

So yeah some comments on this made me really want to talk about what's going on here.

This phenomenon going on in the street racing scene is a great peak into and example of Insurrectionary anarchist ideology and tactics.

A thread 🧵 🧵 So you might have noticed over the last few years an explosion of these kinds of events:

"Flash mobs" of hundreds of people appear almost out of nowhere. Take over whole blocks. Party, do donuts, race, and then disappear with police barely being able to catch any of them

>Doxx a beloved member of said community because you worship cops
>Demand everyone stop being anonymous cause that's cringe
>Doxx yourself to prove this point
>Get cock smacked with a C&D Image Oh
>after stealing, pissing everyone off, and doxxing yourself tweet a bunch of real fucked up bigoted shit under someone else's brand

Couldn't happen to a better person lmaooo

Yeah folks I thought that Cerabalo person was just ignorant and confused but I now thinking they're an Op lol

Like 10 times in the last 48 hours swapping back and forth from "the 2A applies to Trans people and you should defend yourself" to "Ban all assault weapons" Image Meaning if you combined her advice and her political objectives the only real result would be her Trans followers getting their doors kicked in by cops.

You can't combine grabber logic and this line of activism it'll literally get people killed.

🧵 There is two vague groups in the general 2A movement: The old and the new.

The old isnt just the NRA, blue liner, red no matter who, lost in a boating accident, voter harder, law and order types. But also younger people trapped in certain political wars unrelated to the 2A The second is the new wave in the last 10 years.

Conservatives who are over this shit, non-embarassed libertarians, tons of mostly apolitical POC folks, queers, anarchists and lefties.

For the purpose of this rant I'll refer to this people as "the fed up ones"

Omfg sleep is delayed.

It really did happen.

And somehow this didn't hit my feed lmao Yes Brandon when you are on a "invite to birthday" level of close with Red Flag Dan, get all squirrelly when people ask you "is the 2A for all?" And hang out with a bunch of cops people look at you fuckin suspiciously as they should
