Immediate ammendments are needed in Army Act to decentralize, devolve and dilute its powers for strengthening the Democracy in #Pakistan
Recommendations:
- A 9 member accountability unit of 5 civilian & 4 army officials must be formed to scrutinized every military decision
1/n - A merit based #COAS selection system must be introduced and promotion of every Major General must be approved by a Senate Committee on Military Affairs chaired by PM.
- Ministry of Defence must be empowered to deal with matters related to military public affairs.
