After the Swat incident where a mob burned Sulaiman Qamar on June 21st, a total of 30 new blasphemy cases were registered till July 8th. In 19 days—.
17 cases against Shia, 11 against
Sunni, 1 each against Christians & Hindus. In 1 case, 30 Hindus were accused. 1. Sunni activists in Shahpur Sadar, Sargodha, Punjab filed a blasphemy case under Section 295A, 298A, 16 MPO against 2 Shia individuals for allegedly desecrating a flag featuring the name of Caliph Umar Ibn Khattab.

Sulaiman Qamar, a devout Muslim from Sialkot, was burned alive by a mob after being accused of blasphemy. He didn't get a chance to explain himself, after his death, his mother was forced to disown him.

You nurtured religious extremists in seminaries, imported them from Central Asia and Middle East, and sent radical missionaries to turn Pashtuns into Jihadis. That's one thing. But then you received billions of dollars by claiming to root out those same extremists. Instead of fighting terrorists, you implemented your deep state policy by promoting a proxy war in Afghanistan. When the Taliban captured Kabul, you proudly showed the "Cup of Tea," congratulated them, and celebrated their so called victory.

When I was working for Daily Ummat Karachi, my editor assigned me to cover condolence reference of the late General (r) Hamid Gul organised his friends and family members in Karachi's Steel Town. Believe me, only 12 people were there. As the event ended, I came to office.. ...and filed a story that "Only 12 people attended the condolence reference of a famous retired General who recently passed away". The news editor came straight to the reporter desk and uttered the questions. "Why you filed this shit. Are you interested in work here....

On Monday in the SSC annual exams being held under the Matric Board Karachi, a controversial question 4rm the question paper of Islamic Studies contained (MCQs) asked the students to make a choice that the worst animal before Allah is: donkey, pig, infidels, or monkey. But the students were perplexed in making a perfect choice. Because the examiner who had developed the question papers was of the view that the absolute answer of the question was infidels, a person who has no religion or whose religion is not that of the majority.
