I have a holiday @Tesla story which is still playing out right now.

3 weeks ago, I went on a trip and left our Model X fully charged in front of the house.

This morning, I went to move and charge it, but to my surprise, found it with screens off and this emergency bar lit up. Since the screens weren't working, I went to the app to check the battery, but was not able to connect to the car.

I knew Sentry mode ate a couple of percent a day and that Sentry turned off less than 2 weeks into the trip when the battery reached 20%, but why is everything off?

I've now been using the Pixel 6 Pro for several days, and as you've seen, it's been... a lot.

I've run into numerous bugs, the heat issue, and much slower unlocking experience (vs OP 9 Pro) so many of you by this point probably think that it's a steaming pile of 💩.

It's not. After the initial few days, the heat issue doesn't seem to occur as much.

For example, right now I'm at 88F with the same kind of usage that a few days ago was over 100F.

I'm still seeing reports that heavy usage results in higher temperatures quicker but it's not all that bad.

'Game-changer' blood test that can detect 50 different types of cancer set to roll out in the US by the end of the year.

The company is @GalleriTest. If it works as well as they promise, it's indeed going to be a game-changer for cancer diagnosis.

dailymail.co.uk/health/article… Here's the list of cancers the Galleri test promises to detect.

Lung, liver, kidney, colon, breast, bone, lymphoma, melanoma, ovary, prostate, pancreas, stomach, testis, and 38 others.

That's a *lot* of different types of cancer.

It's morning, the room is half-lit and I'm using my Pixel 6 Pro to do casual work.

The rumors are true - auto brightness is terrible on this phone. I think the under-screen ambient sensor reacts to what's on the screen and keeps shifting every few seconds.

Basically, like this: This particular demo isn't entirely real because the screen content doesn't change - I simply wanted to convey what happens with the brightness slider and moved the phone around a little.

The point is it's what happens to the brightness levels as you simply use the phone.

I have a theory that the Pixel 6 ghost calling people bug is related to this. When Assistant wasn't hearing me because the mic wasn't on, it would eventually pop up a suggestion, which half the time was something like "Call Stephanie." This name varied.

reddit.com/r/Android/comm… Here, I just fired up Assistant and said nothing.

After a few sec, it wanted to Call James and even asked me "mobile" or "work." If there was only one number, it'd have called James by now.

This is 💯 it. Something triggers Assistant, then it decides to call someone on its own. Image

By the way, the first attempt to record the Tesla PowerWall being transported up the stairs with the Pixel 3 XL ended up with predictable and horrific freezes.

Here's the video, if you dare watch. Do not adjust your television sets. You think it's still buffering but it's actually already playing for 2.5 seconds.
