UK FOOD STRATEGY - Well this new government strategy isn’t at all worrying and won’t be voted on in Parliament, which means you won’t get a say on it!

The strategy repeatedly prioritises climate goals above actual food production. Large sections advocate for land use ‘change’ i.e., taking farmland out of production to rewild or afforest.

What it’s promoting is the quiet transformation of food policy into climate policy. Farmers are being nudged to exit food production and the public is being conditioned to accept less, pay more, and adjust their expectations.

This entire document undermines domestic food output at a time when supply chains are fragile, and global food inflation is high.

Our food strategy now doesn’t start with “how do we feed the nation?” It starts with “how do we meet Net Zero?”

I’ve read it so you don’t have to.. 🧵Image 2/ Government-Corporate Convergence

▪️The policy leans heavily on corporate partnerships (e.g., food retailers, agri-tech firms) to deliver reforms. As if the food production companies weren’t powerful enough (hello Bill)
▪️The state is setting “voluntary targets” but backed by funding levers and market pressure. This is coercion, not democratic policy.
▪️Small and medium farms may be priced out by ESG targets or regulation burdens.Image

GOVERNMENT CONTROL - Data (use & access bill)

Was introduced in the Lords first, bypassing public scrutiny. No election pressure, no media, no accountability. By the time it reaches the Commons, MPs are told, “It’s already been debated, just pass it.”

There is no better way of controlling a nation than by absolute control of citizens money.

this is what it means 🧵Image 1. Financial Surveillance and Control

The bill grants the Treasury and Financial Conduct Authority expanded powers over financial data, potentially enabling the monitoring, restriction, or freezing of financial transactions.

E.g. criticise the government and Ai could freeze your accounts. Remember Canada?Image

🚨CLIMATE AND NATURE BILL🚨

Part of forcing Agenda 30 on UK citizens without a referendum.

This bill is up for its 2nd reading on the 24th of January.

To add to @chrislittlewoo8 excellent post. See additional detail.

If you were worried about the Pandemic Treaty & IHR amendments, wait till you read this!

1/ Freedom is hard won and easily lost. The Climate and Nature Bill, now on its second reading with support from 182 MPs, claims to save the planet. But it isn’t needed, this is a broad, vague law that opens the door to misuse and massive government overreach.🧵Image 2/ The UK already has strong climate laws, like the 2008 Climate Change Act and the 2021 Environment Act.

This bill adds little to existing commitments. So why pass it? Could it be less about protecting the environment and more about controlling citizens lives & behaviours. Image

ELECTION INTERFERENCE - I’ve had to do a short but funny thread. 🧵

1/ So, let’s travel back to 2004 when The Guardian newspaper decided it would be a good idea to “help” Americans vote in the presidential election.

They specifically wanted climate freak John Kerry to win the election! Spoiler alert: it didn’t go well. #GuardianEffectImage 2/ even authors like John Le Carr and Richard Dawkins got involved in trying to fix the election. Clearly the ‘academics’ in Britain knew far better than the rough necks in America. Image
