Breaking: ICJ dismisses Israeli attempt to rule out the South African case of genocide against Palestinians on technical grounds –– i.e. the court rules it a fact that there is a dispute between SA and Isr. on the question. Breaking: ICJ rules there's a prima facie case to answer in South Africa's genocide case against Israel.

Nasrallah: The Al-Aqsa Flood operation was 100% a decision of the Palestinian resistance alone, and we salute the secrecy in planning. Nasrallah: Al-Aqsa Flood proved once again that the entity is weaker than a spider's web. There are now some Israelis who believe this too.

Gutted to announce: my Bristol book talk tomorrow has been postponed after senior Unite leaders (seemingly @UniteSharon & @gailcartmail themselves) intervened to block local activists and staff from hosting me at Tony Benn House. @AliAbunimah reports: electronicintifada.net/blogs/ali-abun… Assistant general secretary @gailcartmail even had the chutzpah to smear my book in exactly the same terms as the Israel lobby, claiming it “has already caused deep hurt among Jews in Britain” and that it is "inflammatory."

With the student protest against @TzipiHotovely at LSE being roundly attacked by both the Israel lobby and the British government, here's a thread reminder of the Israeli ambassador's long record of far-right extremism 🧵👇 In May @TzipiHotovely was the star speaker at a Zionist demonstration in support of the Israeli embassy in London at which participants called for Palestinian villages to be burned and chanted in support of the genocidal Rabbi Meir Kahane electronicintifada.net/content/london…

Breaking: A leaked document shows that the lawyer @BristolUni instructed to investigate David Miller totally exonerated him of anti-Semitism or any other wrongdoing 🧵👇 electronicintifada.net/blogs/asa-wins… The lawyer found that Professor David Miller "had no case to answer". Despite this @BristolUni bowed to the dictates of Israel and its lobby and fired him anyway.

Here's a few things detailed in my latest article, about Labour conference 🧵👇

Shadow foreign minister @lisanandy was given a massive round of applause by Labour Friends of Israel for undermining the @PSCupdates motion against Israeli apartheid

electronicintifada.net/blogs/asa-wins… Addressing Labour Friends of Israel at their annual reception, @lisanandy promised the lobby group she would "always, always, always" stand with them -- and said the Corbyn era was a "nightmare" now ended

Here's @OwenJones84, yet again, fuelling Labour's McCarthyist purge of socialists and Palestine solidarity activists.

Owen Jones is a willing lackey of the Israel lobby. Thread: 🧵👇 Image Owen Jones -- as usual -- wants to have it both ways. He claims not to "support" expulsion of @KenLoachSixteen, yet in the same breath implies expulsion was correct -- because a play he directed in 1987 expressed Forbidden Criticism of Zionism (Israel's racist official ideology).

The legal unit of @UKLabour wrote to us demanding censorship of my (totally accurate and uncontested) reporting about their racist anti-Palestinian (and anti-Semitic) officials. We told them where to go:

electronicintifada.net/blogs/ali-abun… You can read the original article here which, despite @UKLabour's demands, we have refused to change to suit their whims:

Breaking: @jeremycorbyn suspended from Labour for his blandly factual statement today: "the scale of the problem was also dramatically overstated for political reasons by our opponents inside and outside the party, as well as by much of the media" What a disgrace. But many, many of @jeremycorbyn's supporters warned him since 2016 this day was coming.

Instead he listened to siren voices on the fake left who successfully steered him onto a political suicidal course of indulging the smears.

What a pity.

Breaking: the EHRC has failed to find Labour "institutionally anti-Semitic" as requested by the @JewishLabour Movement in its referral last year. Breaking: the EHRC, after a 17-month investigation into alleged institutional anti-Semitism has found only TWO cases of what it says were "unlawful acts" towards Jews.

In a defamatory article for Bristol student rag @TheTab, their features editor @SabriSun_Miller demands the university fires Bristol professor David Miller (@Tracking_Power) for making "controversial comments about Israel" which make her "uncomfortable".

Poisonous McCarthyism. I refuse to link to her article because it's honestly pure trash. Full of the usual lies about supposed left-wing anti-Semitism. With an extra CampusWatch-style McCarthyist twist, which is quite chilling.

The hidden toll of Labour's manufactured anti-Semitism "crisis" on left-wing Jews:

One "has taken an overdose following expulsion from the party. 'Notices of Investigation' sent to party members include a telephone number for the Samaritans." middleeasteye.net/big-story/labo… George Wilmers says his mistreatment by Labour is antisemitism: "I have been targeted as a Jew by fanatical persons who hold that political support for the ethnocratic nature of the actually existing state of Israel is an essential characteristic of being Jewish."

NEW: A group of leading Palestinian citizens of Britain have written to the Labour Party insisting on their right to oppose Zionism, and insisting it's racist to say they can't: electronicintifada.net/blogs/asa-wins… Will @jeremycorbyn support this British Palestinian call to end the "shrinking space" for their rights in the Labour Party?

Just got off the phone with one of the @Pal_action activists holding a sit-in on the roof of the Shenstone factory owned by Israeli drone maker @ElbitSystemsLtd.

This small group has managed to shutter this death-factory for three days running now! Direct action works. .@ElbitSystemsLtd market their weapons as “field-tested” on Palestinian civilians in Gaza

The activists are demanding "all Elbit Systems sites to be shut down in the UK, and an end to UK complicity with Israeli apartheid".

How a rogue inquiry by a Labour staffer with close ties to the Israeli embassy triggered Labour’s “anti-Semitism crisis”.

Read my latest investigative piece: electronicintifada.net/content/bogus-… “As I recall, what I actually said was that there is ‘influence wielded over elections by high net-worth individuals.’ I would never blame this on Jewish people.”

The level of fabrication and lies in this sorry story knows no bounds.

This morning the Tory press (The Times) is gleeful over Keir Starmer's ruthless sacking of RLB and predicting "a new era in which Sir Keir exerts near-total control."

They are correct.

Meanwhile, the grassroots is outraged and steadily exiting the party. Image What's the official Labour left's response? To beg "Sir Keir" for a meeting & start a petition asking for her job back.

Yea, that'll do it 🙄

If only Corbyn had been as ruthless as "Sir" Keir then the Labour left wouldn't be in this mess. He should have purged the purgers first

What we're seeing in the US with the defeat of Israel lobby stalwart Elliot Engel is the result of decades of grassroots organizing for Palestinian rights in the West.

It's part of a wider trend in the collapse of the lobby's bipartisan consensus. The policy of unquestioned support for Israel by social democrats and liberals is today contested in both the grassroots of both the Democratic and Labour parties.

This stuff about Fawlty Towers etc. is de-railing nonsense IMO. An ITV presenter this morning was like, Ah but what about "Chinese Allan" from Gavin and Stacey? Mate: nobody cares.

Stop this rubbish. British police are institutionally racist: this is a fact. We need to have a long overdue national conversation about the crimes of British colonialism especially slavery, address its legacy, come to terms with it and have a true accounting.

Felling statues of slave traders is not even the tip of the iceberg.

My latest: I did a little digging on Tzipi Hotovely, who has just been announced as Israel's next UK ambassador.

She's a real piece of work: electronicintifada.net/blogs/asa-wins… She once claimed that there is “no Palestinian people,” wants to destroy Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque and says that the entirety of "Greater Israel" belongs to Jews alone.

Exactly this. This is the only reason @JewishLabour and @YachadUK are whining about Netanyahu's annexation policy: it's bad PR. Liberal Zionists like @JewishLabour and @YachadUK are fine with annexation of Palestinian land and expulsion of Palestinian people from that land as long as it is done in a less brazen manner than Netanyahu.

"I submit, therefore, that this year is not the [72nd] anniversary of the Nakba at all, but rather one more year of enduring its brutality; that the history of the Nakba has never been a history of the past but decidedly a history of the present." electronicintifada.net/content/resist… Extracts from Joseph Massad's brilliant 2008 Nakba essay: "While Israel has succeeded in imposing physical & geographic realities, its attempt to obliterate historical memory has failed.
