In crypto, capital is basically free. Networks need contributors > $.

Contributors = growth. Growth = $$$.

The KYVE team identified contributors & users of their protocol & brought them into their early fundraise. Incentive alignment ensures contribution and growth. KYVE permanently stores the state of a blockchain on Arweave making it quicker, easier (& cheaper) to access a chain's history.

@Polkadot @NEARProtocol @solana @cosmos @avalancheavax @MoonbeamNetwork on KYVE

@CoinDesk walks through why KYVE is needed:

I love this question. The decision to create the Web3 Foundation and not the Polkadot Foundation was very intentional. But first, let me clarify a couple background things: There is no official @polkadotnetwork "team". W3F is currently paying @ParityTech to develop the 1st implementation in Rust. However, we have a RFP for other implementations and we encourage anyone to apply for a grant here:

I don’t speak for all women in crypto, but I speak for myself on this thread. I work full time in the space, been going to btc meetups since 2013, and I have never once felt undermined or underestimated by my (yes, mostly male) peers. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. I’m non-technical, yet men in crypto usually assume I’m a dev and engage me in deeply technical conversations.
