You were NYU’s Minderoo Research Professor, a foundation funded by Andrew Forrester from the profits of Fortescue, a mining company which exploited the land of the Yindjibarndi people and refuses to pay them what the Full Court of the Federal Court (2019) says they are owed “Yindjibarndi native title was upheld by the Federal Court in 2017, then the Full Court of the Federal Court in 2019, and Fortescue was denied leave to appeal by the High Court in 2020. Fortescue still hasn’t paid.”

My field placement coordinator suggested I use my activism as a basis to apply for prior learning experience to potentially cancel out 400-500 hours of required field placement for my Master of Social Work.
