It’s been an exhausting week, following my announcement at work of my resignation. I explained it’s because of my Christianfaith not aligning with their DEI strategy and upcoming training. It was announced to staff without including my why; just that I was leaving. 1/
Only a couple of people -one a newer Christian-asked me about it. And I was so blessed to be able to explain. Pray that my words will be gentle, yet convicting. As far as I know, I am the first Christian to actually explain my reason for leaving. 2/

This is unpopular these days, but: Saints, there is absolutely no reason why you need to look at your church demographic and say things like 'we should change what we're doing so that we can change our demographics to match the makeup of our community'.
This is faulty wordly thinking masquerading as godliness.
Now, it's absolutely true that churches can be unhealthily unbalanced in all sorts of ways. But this comes from sinful biases, not just the demographic makeup.
