Following a summon issued on him, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, yesterday produced before the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC,
sitting in Abuja, a document that contained President Bola Tinubu’s age.
The document, known as Form EC9, was an affidavit of personal particulars which President Tinubu submitted to the INEC in aid of his qualification to contest the 2023 presidential election.

H.E. Atiku Abubakar Subpoenaed the INEC Chairman to tender sensitive documents to the court. In the court session today, Chris Uche, SAN, told the court Mahmood is represented by
Morenikeji Tahiru, deputy director, certification and complaint, legal drafting and clearance department.
Tahiru presented four out of 11 documents itemised in the subpoena dated May 26, 2023.

ATIKU PETITION: Court Admits Statisticians Reports in Atiku's petition against Tinubu.
The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) on Wednesday in Abuja admitted in evidence three sets of reports prepared by a group of Statisticians on the electoral forms used during
the last presidential election.
The reports were brought before the court by a renowned Statistician, Samuel Oduntan in aid of the petition by a former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar challenging Bola Tinubu as winner of the February 25 presidential poll.

ATIKU PETITION: Atiku invites @inecnigeria chairman to appear as witness
Atiku and his legal team has summoned the secretary of INEC Dr. Rose Oriarianton, INEC National commissioner, Festus Okoye and the National Chairman Yakubu Mahmood.
Atiku and his legal team have vowed to formally obtain subpoenas to compel the trio to appear before the court as witness and also tender sensitive electoral documents.

2003 Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) & 25% in FCT
After the 2003 elections, @MBuhari called for the cancellation of the election since Obasanjo failed to win in FCT but it was resolved that winning the FCT is not mandatory but having 25% in FCT is very mandatory.
President Obasanjo back then satisfied the basic requirements of 25% in 24 States AND 25% in FCT also having the highest number of total valid votes cast.
