We have organized a lawsuit against OpenAI for copyright infringement of their works of fiction on behalf of a class of authors whose works have been used to train GPT. Plaintiffs incl John Grisham, Jodi Picoult, Victor LaValle, George R.R. Martin & more.

We've been raising concerns about the use of generative AI like this and are currently in DC meeting with Congress to speak out for writers. Flooding the market with AI-generated books will decimate authors' incomes. 🧵 Disclosure requirements are a MUST when AI-generated text makes up a significant portion of a work, empowering readers to make informed choices and respecting authors' contributions.
