From climate change to social cohesion you - you, reading this - are either a part of the problem or a part of the solution. Own it. Think. Learn. Vote. Act.

@maggieNYT Many people replying to this tweet are making the mistake that Trump knowing he lost equates with him having to concede.

That's not how Trump thinks. In his mind he wants/needs to retain office. If people aren't going to vote for him, he'll look for ways to steal the election. @maggieNYT Trump desperately wants to be able to say that he won the election, but if he can't get it legitimately he'll happily try every trick and illegal move in the book to prevent Biden from being sworn in, and he'll rewrite every bit of history he can to make it look like he won.

@RonBrownstein Many people seem to be labouring under the presumption that the Republican response to the pandemic is a bug, a huge incompetence. It's not: the lack of response to coronavirus is a deliberate feature, a calculated move to benefit those in power.

Allow me to explain...

(1/n) @RonBrownstein When people get sick from the virus, they can't work: they can suffer foreclosure or have to sell their assets cheaply.

When people are forced to stay home without government support, they can't work: they can suffer foreclosure or have to sell their assets cheaply.

@outofcontroljb @ProjectLincoln This series of five words was carefully constructed by his aides so that Trump could go through a mnemonic to remember it.

"Person" is an easy word to remember. A "woman" is a type of person. Obvious a "man" is too. There's a man behind the "camera." You'll be on "TV." @outofcontroljb @ProjectLincoln Watching the video again I'm now convinced that this was a prepared trick. The first time Trump says "person" he hesitates and looks upward and to his right, which many people do when they're trying to recall something...

@DanScavino Trump scandals in the last week:

1) Corruptly getting allies out of prison sentences.

2) Allowing Putin to offer bounties on US soldiers' lives with not a word of protest, and in fact offering Russia assistance on the global stage.

3) Promoting White Power tweets.

(1/4) @DanScavino 4) Calling #BlackLivesMattter protesters "terrorists."

5) Admitting that he asked his administration to "slow the [coronavirus] testing down."

6) Record daily coronavirus infections, and still rising.

A thought experiment (gas law and similar calculations are allowed, if desired):

1) Take a gas cylinder with an internal, transmitting thermometer and 1 bar of CO₂ and put it in a room at 20°C. What will the internal temperature be after one day? 2) Over a period of 1 minute fill the cylinder with CO₂ to 100 bar. What will the internal temperature be immediately after? After 1 hour? After one day? After one week?

Sigh. Right-wing conservatives really are welded to their science denial.

Let's start from the beginning. W Jackson Davis is an emeritus whose work on "alternative" theories to human-caused climate change garners almost no scientific credibility.

1/13 Davis is moderately recognised though for being a useful agent of the climate science denial movement. Heartland, WUWT, Curry, and those of similar ilk (including the posters here) happily jump on his work without critical appraisal.
