Using that same logic, I guess Saddam loved Shias and never committed crimes against them right?

Under Saddam’s Iraq, Shias held all these posts:

Chief of Staff

Foreign Minister

Governor of the Central Bank

Director of Public Security

Prime Minister of Iraq (2 of them)

Commander of the Armored Forces.

And much more, also 80% of the army of Iraq during Saddam’s time (In Iraq-Iran) war were Shias.

This commie ignores the mass defection in the beginning of the conflict in Syria where you had 10,000s of regular soldiers (majority being Sunnis) and joining the militants - Why do you think FSA was formed?

The population being majority Sunni (80%) People who are only “Sunni” by background exists, this still doesn’t change the fact how alawites hold high ranks among the SAA’s military. From 1982 to 2011. Despite only making around 10%-15%? of the populationImage

Recommend going through this thread, Shias under Saddam’s time were involved in every sector including military despite the ratio of being around 40%-60%.

On the other hand when it comes to Syria, around 80% Sunnis and 10-15% Alawites, it’s a whole different story when it comes to officials within the military and nepotism within the economy of Syria

🧵"Iran came to Syria to fight ISIS"

General Mahmoud Chaharbaghi, the commander of IRGC’s artillery in 2011-2012 said in a live program

“The Supreme Leader told General Soleimani to go to Syria to protect Syrian leader Bashar Assad. His mission was to prevent Assad’s fall.”

Chaharbaghi stressed: “This was long before the emergence of ISIS. Assad’s armed opposition were fighting his forces.” In Fact, Soleimani’s mission in Syria started in 2011 while, ISIS emerged in Syria as recently as 2014.

Chaharbaghi said that when he first saw Soleimani in Syria, he was based at a chamber in a Shiite Shrine planning his military moves against Bashar’s opposition whose forces had reached the walls of Assad’s palace in Damascus. "I met Qassem Soleimani in 2011, and the first battle we planned and carried out was in Homs, Baba Amr." - Defense Minister Ali Ayub of Assad regime's forces

2011 was years before the emergence of ISIS and other groups.

Thread of Assad regime soldiers torturing and forcing Muslims to call Bashar as Lord, mocking Salah and Islam, and etc.

Keep in mind, Iran which calls for "Unity with Sunnis and Shias" was fighting alongside these Bashar worshippers against the Syrian people. Assad Soldiers torturing a teenager and forcing him to call Bashar as his lord.

Graphic Warning

Curious why Major Outlets in Muslim community barely report on Syrian and Iraqi Muslims suffering under the hands of Assad regime and Iran?

Curious why they were so focused on Anti-Hijab Protests in Iran yet not bringing up the protests and mass-arrest and massacre that occurred in Sunni area?

Pro-Iran Sympathizers like Roshan Salih play a huge role into this.Image Roshan Salih have worked with PressTV for 5 years, being head of their news in London. He has attended PressTV-linked shows, made content for them, and etc. it’s obvious that he was fully working for them and not under some sort of temporary contract for few months.

For those who do not know PressTV is owned btw Iran’s regime, close to the IRGC - which isn’t surprising given that it was created in 2007 in order to counter BBC News and Al Jazeera.Image

Thread of Axis of “resistance” supporters showing true colours;

Sectarian comments, mocking death / starvation of civilians, insulting Palestinian, Syrians or any Muslims who are against their group, and etc.

Keep in mind, most of these tweets are by actual adults who have their name and picture as their profile picture; they don’t keep the same energy while speaking in English.Image

Thread is gonna be addressing the misguided narratives circulating among Madkhalis, Nationalists, Zionists, Khomenists, and Assadists attempting to undermine the Palestinian cause or claim the cause for their own agenda despite the grim reality of over 19,000 confirmed deaths. I am sharing this to highlight the principles of the people in Gaza and dispel the baseless allegations of Hamas being labeled as "Pro-Iran".

This post isn't to support Hamas's leadership positions in any way - I believe every group and person has mistakes and no one is infallible. As we know Hamas was formed in 1987 under the leadership of Sheikh Ahmed Yasin and his associate Abdul Aziz al-Rantissi, emerging during the first Intifada against Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories. Stemming from the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt's influence, Hamas established the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades as its military wing, aiming to conduct armed resistance against Zionism to liberate Palestine.

This was a time when PLO was the face of the Palestine resistance, and as we know PLO were secular and had communists within their ranks.

Dealing with this problem; back-and-forth fighting happened, different views on the majority of the things, etc - Yet here we are in 2023 where you have Hamas and Palestinians with other ideologies (PFLP, DFLP) resisting against the Zionists.

Thread of Zionists preferring Assad to stay in power rather than the opposition 2019 report by US Defence Secretary. The secretary claiming how about they were worried if Assad’s regime were to be overthrown, it would threaten the security of Israel.

"We worried that the Assad Regime might finally collapse – and do so quickly, in a way that would endanger U.S. interests, to include the security of the state of Israel."congress.gov/116/meeting/ho…

Assadists, Tankies, Pro-Russia Propaganda, and the Axis of 'Resistance' have been disseminating fallacious narratives to justify Iran and its proxies' imperialist actions in Syria. They often accuse the opposition of being “Wahabbis” and proxies of 'Israel/West/Gulf Countries,' portraying this narrative so anything they do as justifiable ( for backing Assad and slaughtering muslims) and everything the opposition says as untrustworthy.

In this thread, I will address these points and debunk them. While these notions are already widely believed in Syria and the Arab World, I still see many people who naively fall for the propaganda spread by these Assadists, conspiracy theories, and Axis of 'Resistance' Why did Iran and its proxies get involved in Syria? Was it truly to defeat Daesh, or was it for their own interests, like any other imperialists out there?
Iran's Axis of 'Resistance' tends to justify their involvement by claiming they were in Syria to combat ISIS and Salafi 'Radicals.' However, it was exposed by the Defense Minister of Syria that Iran was involved in the battles of Syria since 2011. FSA wasn't that big during the early days of the conflict (2011).

Fanboys of a group have been pushing the narrative that “Taliban 2.0” are apost@es and Taliban “1.0” were righteous. Their beloved leader wrote a whole poem for Mullah Omar and TB “1.0” who would have been called “sururi”, “apost@es” in today’s time.

Here are many examples:

Iran regime apologists and Assadists love to bring up how the USA destroyed Iraq and how Syria shouldn't turn into Iraq 2.0. However, they never bring up the fact that Iran assisted the USA during its invasion of Iraq. Here's a mini-thread going through their cooperation. Image 1/6 Former Iraqi ambassador Abdul Sattar al-Rawi recalls Iran's role in the invasion of Iraq, providing political and military assistance to the United States.
