Nessa Diab was dating his teammate Aldon Smith during 2015. Kaepernick and her were 'confirmed' as a couple in Feb 2016, but there was an altercation with Aldon at a training camp back in Aug 2015.
This gossip is important because come 2016 he and Nessa were official. And she lived in New York.
