Heading to Rome to start a 2-week lecture tour titled my “A funny thing happened on the way to (the next) salvation” tour; with additional stops in Turin & Copenhagen. I am considering the promises, lessons learned & remnants of Big Data / ML. @UBCEduc @Paragon_Testing @ECPS_ubc “On the ML, Big Data Revolution That Never Happened in Measurement & Psychometrics: What Have We Learned, & What are the By-products?" The claims that ML/Big Data would be a disruptive innovation in our field have not gone at all according to plan— lessons learned & by-products.
