The upcoming @ElrondNetwork protocol upgrade brings “Scheduled Smart Contract execution”. It increases the time allocated for executing TXs beyond the currently dedicated 1.5s sub-round, resulting into higher throughput, with major upside for DeFi operations.

Weekly #elrondtech 🛠️ 1/ The Rust SC framework has been enhanced with a new serializer that handles managed types better. Storage keys and error messages are also rerouted via the managed buffers. This eliminates the need for an allocator, leading to smart contracts with a reduced footprint.
