Timeline of the Persecution of #IvelBahais:

▪️Mid-1800s: The #Bahai Faith is established, nearly 50% of the population of #Ivel embrace the faith.

▪️1941: #Bahais are arrested, severely beaten and subjected to extortion. Houses and belongings plundered.

#ItsTheirLand ▪️1946: A school established by #Bahais is open to all the children of Ivel.

▪️1961: The Baha'is complete a bath house for use by all in #Ivel as a service to their community.

▪️1983: More than 130 Baha'is are imprisoned and held captive w/o any food or water.
