We made #AlphaFold dream of new protein assemblies, used #ProteinMPNN to bring it back to reality, and the results were stunning! (1/5) science.org/doi/10.1126/sc… Using #AlphaFold hallucination, we generated protein assemblies with up to C42 symmetry and validated 10 designs (7xtal/3cryoEM) – these structure differ significantly from anything the network has seen during training!
