📊 Florian Wirtz scored one of the fastest goals ever (5.05 seconds) in football history while at Köln.

He also scored the fastest goal ever for Germany’s national team (7.92 seconds).

And the fastest goal in U21 Euro history (29 seconds).

Watch out for him at kick-off 👀 Image His fastest goal for Köln

🏆 The 2023 Asian Cup starts tomorrow.

Ahead of the tournament I’ve put together a thread of my top players to watch.

So without further ado, here it is…

🇦🇪 Harib Abdalla - the 21 year old has 11 goal contributions in 1152 minutes this season. He’s quick and lively and definitely the kind of player who loves to beat defenders. Should be fun to watch at the tournament.

🇮🇶 Ali Jasim - A 19 year old right-winger. He’s got 4 goals in 5 games in the AFC Champions League this season. Already has 2 goal contributions in 5 caps for Iraq. Really eye-catching winger who loves to dribble as well.

🇮🇶 Ali Al-Hamadi - 21 years old and currently plays for AFC Wimbledon. He’s got 24 goal contributions in 29 games this season - an nice all-round forward - who’s got potential in my opinion to play even in the Premier League.

🇺🇿 Abdukodir Khusanov - A star of the U20 World Cup this summer there’s a lot to like about this 19 year old. He is a really composed center-back who is strong in the air and is relatively quick as well. Already playing for Lens in Ligue 1 and doing quite well so far.Image

⏳It’s now just a week to go until #AFCON2023.

Ahead of the tournament I’ve decided to do a thread on which players are worth keeping an eye on from all 24 nations.

Been working on this for the last few weeks now.

So without further ado, here it is…

GROUP A

🇨🇮 Ivory Coast - Wilfried Singo - This would’ve been Simon Adingra but he won’t be fit for the start of the tournament. I’m going for Wilfried Singo - playing in a back three as a CB for Monaco at the moment. Very composed on the ball - he can also play as an RB. Keep an eye on Karim Konate as well - he is a top prospect .

🇳🇬 Nigeria - Victor Boniface - 24 goal contributions in 23 games for Bayer Leverkusen this season Klopp recently referred to him as an ‘interesting’ player. I’m intrigued as to how he will partner up with Victor Osimhen - he’s got everything to be a complete forward.

🇬🇶 Equatorial Guinea - Saúl Coco - haven’t seen much of him in La Liga but data wise he is pretty solid. He will come up against some top strikers in this group - will be interesting to see how he deals with the challenge.

🇬🇼 Guinea-Bissau - Franculino - Benfica’s loss has been Midtjylland’s gain - The 19 year old has 17 goal contributions in 19 games for the club and averages a goal or assist every 53 minutes. Can play anywhere across the front three - I’m really excited by what I’ve seen so far.Image
