In a Q&A hosted by @Andrew_Friedson today, he affirmed that, despite the racism, sexism, and illegal activities that have been permitted at the Planning Board, the County Council does not have "concerns about the work product or policy proposals of the planning board."

He also stated that the destruction of Black communities is "complicated," and didn't answer our question of what the County Council would do to ensure that the next Planning Board does not replicate the racist policies that were permitted by the last Planning Board.

We are thrilled that all five commissioners of the Montgomery County Planning Board have resigned.
For over seven years, BACC has been calling for their removal due to their role in the destruction of countless Black communities and the horrific desecration of Moses Cemetery.
We opposed the appointment of Casey Anderson and the extension of his contact, but County Executive Marc Elrich ignored and disregarded community concerns. He holds responsibility for the racism, sexism, and illegal activities that have been taking place at the Planning Board.
