1/ 8 This may lose me followers but I’m still going to say it and make no apologies for doing so.

Labour lost the election, they lost too many seats – why? Why didn’t Labour MP’s sell their idea of Brexit and inform voters of what the difference would be between what
2/8 their Brexit would be like compared to Tory Brexit? Why didn’t they as the Labour sales people sell the mandate? They didn’t and so more people voted Tory. Oh how we can sit by and be all smug now, point the finger, tell those that voted Tory they got what they deserve.
3/8 What will that achieve? It won’t be just those who voted Tory who will suffer, being smug will not feed a hungry child or put extra beds and staff in our hospitals, it won’t stop the Tories from ripping the heart out of us even more.

I don't know how to get this all in one place so will do it as a thread... feel free to improve/share. Author Unknown but all credit to them.

There was misery, poverty, great deprivation.
Some stockings were empty, some fridges were bare,
The heating turned off, little money to spare.

Cognac and Port so he’s feeling no pain,
Stuffing his chops on goose flesh and gammon,
Caviar, Stilton and the finest smoked salmon.
The homeless are shivering in cardboard containers
Ex-Servicemen, youngsters, both Leave and Remainers
The nurses and doctors all still searching for beds
With a shortage of staff, of money and meds

Never having experienced the welfare benefits system I was naive, foolish, gullible.

In 2007 everything changed, rapidly. By 2009 I was unable to work. My physical disability did not sit well with me, this wasn't me, this wasn't going to be me. I was determined to get better,
Return to work. That didn't happen, I became depressed, suicidal and I took an overdose. Had to be resuscitated twice (in part I still wish they hadn't bothered).

I have had to fight and endure the humiliation of justifying my existence and literally beg for help from the state
