An historic November snowstorm will bring at least 6-12” of snow to the Denver area, starting late tomorrow morning through Saturday morning.
This will be a heavy, wet snow likely to all but shut down travel tomorrow afternoon through Saturday morning.

What’s causing this?
A stagnant cutoff low is spinning through the Four Corners. There’s nothing steering this, so it’s meandering over AZ/NM, drawing up tons of Gulf moisture.
It’ll finally start to move NE tomorrow, and into a prime spot for an eastern CO snowstorm.

A significant Denver-area snowstorm is likely Wednesday-Friday, with the worst likely Wed. PM-Thursday.
However, there are still lots of questions around snow totals, and this remains one of the strangest Front Range big storm setups in recent memory.

A cutoff upper-level low will push south on Wednesday, spinning over southern Nevada. Meanwhile, a surface low sets up over SE Colorado late Wednesday, drawing up moisture.
The upper-level low won’t move much through early Friday, setting up a long rain-to-snow event.
