1960: FDA approves 1st birth control pill
1969: No fault divorce legalized
~1970: Women's labor force participation surpasses 50%
1973: Roe v Wade
1974: Women able to open bank accts/credit lines w/o husband's permission.
1982: 1st year more women than men earn Bachelors degrees.
Marriages "aren't lasting" like our grandparents gen bc women are no longer financially trapped in them, having kids that they can't raise solo, unable to leave without proving wrongdoing, & able to educate and earn enough to support ourselves even accounting for the wage gap.
