A word about the PFS and the G2211 code: It is for “medical care services that serve as the continuing focal point for all needed healthcare services and/or with medical care services that are part of ongoing care related to a patient, single, serious, or complex condition.” 1/
CMS emphasizes that it is the relationship between the patient and the practitioner that is the determining factor of when the add-on code should be billed 2/

So this will be an exciting read and a huge boost for primary care and cognitive specialists which will raise reimbursement and at the same time decrease documentation burden for E/M codes.
