Part Five: No Snappy Title (taking suggestions) On April 5, 1995, McVeigh called a Ryder Truck Rental company in Lake Havasu from his room at the Imperial Motel in Kingman., Arizona. Immediately after, he called Elohim City. That evening and over the next two days, he made the first of several calls to the Bullhead City National Alliance.

For a few weeks now, I have been posting parts of an ongoing thread series, the main points of which I will recap in a moment. But first, a disclaimer. As noted, in the spring of 1993, after his significant attendance at the Tulsa gun show, McVeigh took up residence in Kingman, AZ, staying first with the Fortiers and then renting a place at a nearby trailer park.

Part Three: A: “The One Arm Man in Kingman” Our story follows Timothy McVeigh’s fateful attendance at a Tulsa gun show in early Spring 1993, where, while manning Roger Moore’s table, he met Dennis Mahon, Andy Strassmeir, and another “white Oakie.” Afterward, he headed to Kingman, Arizona, where he lived until late September 1993.

Part Two: In early June 1995, McVeigh told his defense team that he had a significant number of underground right-wing connections whom he knew independently of Fortier or Nichols. In January 1993, McVeigh abruptly left his home in Western New York and set out on his multi-state bombing odyssey, which ended even more abruptly on April 19, 1995.

Richard Van Hazel had some startling things to say about Timothy McVeigh and his relationship to Jack Oliphant and a group of men in the paramilitary underground.

“King Ryder” was the original name of a screenplay written in the 1980s. The author later changed the title to “Breakdown” in anticipation of its adaptation to film. The story: In the early 1990s, the U.S. is under martial law. Media is controlled. Gasoline is rationed. Interstate travel requires special ID cards (difficult to acquire). Tax protestors are shot and people are disappeared, possibly into one of many concentration camps.

Roger Moore told reporters and the FBI that he never met Terry Nichols [TN] and wouldn’t know his voice, so he couldn’t help identify him as the man who “robbed” him in Nov 1994. For the most part, McVeigh told the same story. However, McV told Jones, that the robbery was a “red herring” but also the “perfect crime.” In late Aug 1995, McV slipped up and said that other than himself, the only person whom he could think of that Nichols might be able to testify against was Moore.

While Operation Punchout, a DOD/ USAF/ FBI undercover investigation, is most often discussed as a Utah deal, it ‘took place’ in multiple states, including at a gun show in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where a peculiar conversation between Roger Moore and a Punchout operative occurred. In it, an uncharacteristically chatty Moore told the undercover about a friend of his who’d recently received an unexpected and unwanted visit by the ATF, who wanted to discuss the man’s sale of weapons parts kits.

To be clear: I made a case that West was in contact with the defense team & West's student was in regular contact. Very documented. I suppose I made a case that it was very possible but that's as far as I was able to go at the time I wrote Aberration.

On my first trip to Elohim City, I was told to come at a certain time, and when I got there, it was dark. After arriving, I got the feeling that was intentional. At some point during the discussion, I asked to see the grave of Richard Wayne Snell but my request was declined. A little bit from book 2: While countless FBI agents swarmed the Kingman, AZ area as well as, to a lesser extent, the entire state, only certain people, usually very interesting people, were questioned by an agent known to have been a PATCON informant handler.
