UAE authorities have announced a visa ban for Cameroonians, Nigerians, and 20 other nationalities wishing to travel to Dubai, with immediate effect.

In a notice issued to business partners, including travel agencies, the authorities said all applications should be rejected. Many people, particularly Africans seeking to work in the UAE, mainly in Dubai, have in the past used the 30-day tourist visas to extend their stay in the country illegally
