Bill Maher calls out Ben Shapiro for saying Charlie Kirk's shooter was "of the left" — then admitting he wasn’t sure because of reports that he may be a Groyper. "The internet is undefeated in getting it wrong."

Shapiro also falsely claims: "A shooting of a Republican politician is very likely to be a trans/antifa/Marxist."

Total nut job. The Guardian retracted the quotes Ben is referencing.

Asthma inhalers cost $7 in France but $500 in the United States. Lina Khan, Chair of the FTC, sued drug manufacturers for price manipulation and now they're $35.

Joe Biden appointed her.

She's so effective that even MAGA Republicans like her. They call themselves Khanservatives.

(from 60 Minutes) Project 2025 calls for the dismantling of the Federal Trade Commission. They even have a 13-page chapter on it written by Adam Candeub, a high-ranking Trump appointee.

People like Lina Kahn will be replaced by a Trump loyalist. Image

🧵 Thread on voter fraud.

The Heritage Foundation continues to spread Trump's Big Lie that there are widespread “documented cases of voter fraud” so I wanted to dig into it a bit using their own database.

heritage.org/voterfraud
According to Heritage’s own Election Fraud website, there have been 1,546 “proven instances of voter fraud” since 1982.

That’s not a lot. Image

I just called the @GaSecofState Press Office (470-312-2803) and they confirmed that all you need to cancel someone's voter registration is their name, DOB, and either their address or the last four digits of their social.

I asked what safeguards are in place to protect voters and prevent unauthorized cancellation of someone else's voter status and they couldn't answer the question. All they said is that it was "illegal" and they "encourage everyone to follow the law", then he referred me back to the 'My Voter Page'.

They also could not tell me if the voter is notified that their registration has been canceled.

The man that answered the phone tried twice to rush me off the phone and would not provide his name. #gapol More — Spoke to someone else at @GaSecofState and they triple confirmed that all you need to cancel someone's voter registration is:

✅ Full name
✅ Full date of birth
✅ The county they live in (NOT the full address)
✅ Either your driver license number or last four digits of social.

When I asked again about protections for voters / safeguards are in place, I was told that they send you a letter via mail notifying you that your cancelation is pending.

IF YOU DO NOT RESPOND WITHIN 30 DAYS, YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION IS AUTOMATICALLY CANCELLED.

I live in Fulton County and our mail has been delayed for weeks (sometimes months) so, in theory, you could receive the letter AFTER the your registration has already been canceled. And if this all happens AFTER the voter registration deadline, then you have no recourse.

The Democracy on Trial documentary has some pretty incriminating moments for Trump.

Bill Barr: "I made it clear I did not agree with the idea of saying the election was stolen and putting out this stuff, which I told the president was bull (bleep)."
🧵 Liz Cheney: "Over multiple months, Donald Trump oversaw and coordinated a sophisticated plan to overturn the presidential election and prevent the transfer of presidential power."
