"Satchmo" was the nickname of legendary trumpeter and vocalist Louis Armstrong.
Growing up in the 60s he was EVERYWHERE: Radio, TV and movies. He was a very popular vocalist despite having a distinctive "rasp" in his voice. His duets with the legendary Ella Fitzgerald on songs by Cole Porter are simply magical. Listening to them brings me much joy.
