Obesity is an American problem that Black folks are disproportionately affected by. We need safer communities, more parks and public transportation so people can walk. End food deserts and offer better options than cheaper and higher processed foods, like community gardens.
There are places here in Mississippi where the closest supermarket is 30 minutes away, but some communities are fighting back.

BINGO! They actually got demolished in 2022. The only reason they won seats is because they skewed redistricting in their favor by targeting Black and democratic districts on the state level.
This is why state races from county clerks, state legislators and state supreme court races are super important in off years. A strategy is Dems should take advantage of popular ballot incentives to bring out dem voters in off years.
Y'all still not understanding. People see children as a punishment for women having sex. That's why some folks say the solution for women since Roe has been overturned is to "close your legs." Not once do they advocate men getting vasectomies or keeping their peens in their pants
There's a reason why some people legit hate child free women. Folks want to control women's sexuality and one way they believe is to force women to have children. Children change women's lives dramatically from career, financial to relationship choices.

The opposite happens in Europe & Africa where BAs do better than local Black pops. It's not because one negro is better than the other or a has better work ethic. That's racist garbage. Immigrants are less likely to face centuries of that country's systemic racism.
The idea that Black Americans don't value education sounds a lot like what racist French people say about Black French people. All of it is racist garbage to divide and conquer.

This is due to the great migration and the Black church. Their parents and grandparents left places like Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee and moved to Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, Gary and other Midwestern cities for better opportunities. In places like Detroit, they found it.
I love talking about Black American migration patterns after emancipation. It's why Black folks in Chicago have southern accents. Those people likely have cousins in places like Memphis & Jackson.

Read about the Social Security Act of 1935 that systemically excluded Black farm and domestic workers from collecting social security. It excluded over 65% of the entire Black American population.

NonBlack love movies: hot guy falls in love w/ quirky girl & proves how much he loves her. She marries him
Internalized racism and racism believes Black love or a Black person being loved in movies and even real in life requires dysfunction, violence, trauma and social justice themes. Blackness is more than our traumas and fears. Black people just want to be loved & see us in love.
