Right-wing militias have been recruiting, training, and infecting people with their nonsense for years now, and have been actively emboldened. I'm very worried that over the next year, they will rile themselves up to attack a larger US town/area. The cycle is worse now Generally, they recruit, they have an event, they overstep, the entire public(including the GOP) says it's bad- hate groups and crimes get prosecuted, and the influence is stemmed.

I have next to no faith that any of the consequences will happen, and they are counting on it

"This generation is lazy and wage theft isn't a real problem" lol Jesus Christ just shake your fist at the sky and tell everyone you don't like to read.

Prime laziness is regurgitating antiquated talking points because you want to suck up to the "real victim", corporate profits This whiny long-winded nonsense is exactly my point. Pretending this is an amorphously used phrase, when it isn't, it's studied and specific, is a lazy way to approach a conversation. It's assuming everyone is as topically dumb as you are

Stop treating conservatives as "people who want in their hearts to be liberals but are waiting on the right argument." The mistake is thinking we all believe in the same fundamental rights. If you are going to change minds, you have to understand their base assumptions first. It's also why we automatically will sound condescending or completely confusing. We are often not talking about the same things. When we "say" equality for all, they hear the adder +"Within the natural hierarchy of things" and that's where their actions seems so contradictory

With the conversation around Roe and the conversation around internet security, I think it's clear that people don't understand where their Rights come from, how they are interconnected, and how the law is built.

A good representative example is physical vs digital locks. Physical locks are mostly for show and easily picked. Burglars are constrained by distance, time, and the risk of physical confrontation, so for the vast majority of cases, the goal is to "look" secure. 2/x

Mythbusters but for rich people who think they work harder than the poor and that's the only reason disparity exists. Half the rich people I know couldn't last a hard shift at a Starbucks without breaking down.

You agree that people can be biased?

"Yes."

If someone admitted to thinking women were inferior, then wrote a bunch of laws, it's reasonable to check if those laws disproportionately affect women?

"Yes, hypothetically"

Welcome to supporting the idea of Critical Race Theory Wait until you hear what the Founders thought of Black people, it will appall you, I'm sure.

Oh, was this never about moral or ethical consistency?

Find me a thriving city and without fail we'll find people looking to yank up the ladder to make it harder on the less fortunate.

NIMBY's are a curse "Would you want homeless people living next to you"

Homeless people already live next to you, you sock. They would just have a place to actually go.

Do you know how hard it is to build any type of stability(mental or financial) without consistent shelter?
