1. GOP’s radicalization began with Ronald Reagan
2. He destroyed the 4th estate and pushed reporting into the shallows.
3. The radicalization of politics and the press led to politicians who act like reality stars and reporters who have no clue. Media consolidation has led to fewer reporters in the field who cover politicians who look upon voters as their fan base.
