Short little thread on being in a position of power and influence as a Black women, which I imagine might bear some resemblance for Indigenous women as well: To know you’re about to be shuffled out of the job you were tasked to do, based off your expertise & experience — in order to make room for someone who may be willing to uphold the structures of oppressive power, dominance & corruption that have plagued CAN politics since 1867

Justified it as a way to cut costs, but arguably a way for Conservatives to gain regional control over Toronto & its suburbs.

Conservatives on council have dominated these areas ever since.
