🚨UPDATE 8PM - All evac & pre-evac maps for @broomfield & surrounding areas will now be updated by @BoulderOEM. Keep checking the following map throughout the evening for updates. Smoke plume is visible in ⁦@broomfield⁩ due to multiple fires in Boulder County. Also can smell smoke. No active fires in Broomfield at this time. Please only call 911 if you see flames, dispatchers are being overwhelmed with calls about the smoke.⁦⁦@NMFirePIO⁩ Due to the fires in Boulder County, the @BldrCOSheriff has asked us to close all lanes of WB US-36. Getting reports that a plane flying over @broomfield had engine trouble and dropped debris in several neighborhoods around 1:08 pm. No injuries reported at this time. Plane did not land in Broomfield. Media staging area TBD. Image Some of the debris landed in Commons Park and in the Northmoor and Red Leaf neighborhoods. Our patrol officers are working to locate all of the debris. If you have debris in your yard or near your home please call dispatch at 303.438.6405 to report asap.
