8 Summers Ago I Accidentally Healed My Eyes…
Looking back, it was a series of happy accidents…
I was one of these people that couldn't go outside without my sunglasses.
If it was sunny, it hurt my eyes.
If it was cloudy it hurt my eyes.
I then began experimenting with a few biohacks, which at the time I thought were unrelated…
But my eyes got stronger and I never need sunglasses anymore…
Here’s EXACTLY what I did…

🚨 EXPOSED - How Deep Does Near Infrared Light Actually Penetrate?
(PLUS 6 things you MUST understand about light!)
Professor Glen Jeffrey just released a new research paper…
…and you need to see the results!
He exposes aspects of light that will change the way you look at
☀️ Sunlight
🔴 Red light therapy
🔵 and junk LEDs…
Lets dig into the study…👀
First, Who Is Professor Glen Jeffery?
Professor Jeffrey is a Professor of Neuroscience at UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, University College London.
He has risen to prominence as a leading researcher in the photobiomodulation (red light therapy) space in the last few years.
In 2020 and 2024 he released 2 important red light therapy studies that went viral both in the mainstream and in the health community.
⭐ Red Light Therapy And Eyes (2020): Glen's research showed that just 3 minutes of 670 nm red light improved colour vision by up to 20% in people over 40.
⭐ Red Light Therapy And Blood Glucose Response (2024): This research showed that just 15 minutes of 670 nm red light on the back of a subject resulted in a massive 27.7% reduction in blood glucose elevation!
These are huge results considering they come from a very simple application of red light therapy.

How To Reduce Your Blood Sugar Spike With Red Light Therapy:
Renowned red light therapy researcher, Professor Glen Jeffrey, was driving along in his car when an interesting idea popped into his head…
“If red light therapy up regulates mitochondria, does that mean it would soak up more sugar out of the blood?”
This brain fart led to a research experiment and some surprising results…
What They Did:
Glen's lab rounded up 30 healthy people with an average age of 40.
They all had their baseline blood glucose levels measured over a period of days…
Then they drank a glucose drink.
Half of them got exposed to red light therapy, while the other half got a sham treatment.
Blood glucose levels were then measured at various intervals after the glucose drink was given and the results were compared.

Have You Seen People Using Red Light At Night And Wondered What The Point Is?
In 2017, I predicted red light therapy was going to explode and now I'm predicting that ambient red light is going to become a powerful tool in the battle for health optimisation in 2025.
This thread will answer the top 10 FAQs about it…1. What’s The Point Of Using Red Ambient Light At Night?
The main point is not to disrupt your circadian rhythm.
Most households are using bright white LEDs to light their houses.
This is bad for you during the day, and terrible for you after dark!
The problem is, most of these LEDs tend to be high in blue and green light,
and very low in red and infrared light.
This is a problem for the health of your eyes, your nervous system and your sleep patterns.
Unnatural blue and green light, especially after the dark, keeps you wired and awake and ruins your health.
ENTER AMBIENT RED LIGHT
Red light does the exact opposite…
It DOES NOT disrupt your circadian rhythm…
And it's actually soothing for your eyes, your nervous system and it creates a chilled environment.
It will help you feel relaxed and calm, ready to jump into bed for a great nights sleep.

Red Light Therapy Technical Terms EXPLAINED (No More Confusion!)
If you’re confused about all the sciencey terms… this thread is for you…
I've been in the game for 8 years and I'm about to simplify…
The 9 most important aspects that you need to understand before buying red light therapy…
(Most companies are terrible at explaining this)1. LED vs. Laser
When the benefits of red light therapy were first discovered, the scientist was using a laser.
For 30 years, the only way you could get red light therapy was with a expensive laser machine.
That's why almost no one had even heard of red light therapy until just a few years ago…
About 10 years ago they began making LEDs that could give off the same quality of light as a laser.
LEDs…
✅ Safer than lasers
✅ Cheaper than lasers
✅ Don't require special training to use
✅ Can be made into any shape and size
✅ Can cover a much larger area of your body
✅ Produce almost the exact same quality of light
LEDs make a red light therapy more accessible for more people.

Using Red Light Therapy Directly Before Bed, IS NOT The Best Way To Use It For Sleep.
Red light therapy causes different reactions in your body, depending on how you use it…
It can leave you alert and energised,
Or it can leave you sleepy and ready for bed.
But there's a special trick to getting this right, and if you do it wrong, it might not work…
Red light Therapy Has A Circadian Role To Play:
Getting a dose of red and near infrared light is good for you at any time of the day.
But it's especially good for you if you use it at a time that nature intended.
What I mean is that the natural sunrise and sunset are 2 of the best times to get red and infrared light in nature.
So your body is evolutionarily primed to expect this light at that time.
If you use your red light therapy in alignment with sunrise and sunset,
It will optimise your circadian rhythm…
And you can expect even more benefits from it.
But you have to do it right…

But First..Baseline Spectrum With Actual Sunshine
“I solemnly swear that I believe the Sun is the superior light source for all life on earth.”
(Just in case I get the Kruse Kult on my case again)
We've evolved with sunshine for millions of years and we cannot live without it.
The Sun is the perfect example of the balance of light that human beings need.
The Sun, or lack there of, can be one of the root causes for most diseases.
I won't even begin to explain the benefits of real sunlight for humans.
Follow @zaidkdahhaj , he's teaching in-depth stuff about the Sun.
Here we can see the spectrum of sunlight at two different times during the mid morning.
(the time on the spectrometer is wrong, but you can see it's roughly an hour apart, sometime between 9 am and 12)

LEDs Are Destroying Your Health And Must Be Avoided At All Costs…
But then why are they making red light therapy devices with LEDs?
Let me explain…
LED’s Themselves Are Not The Problem:
It’s not necessarily the LEDs that are bad for us, although some very cheap ones are a disaster and should be avoided.
It’s more about the spectrum of light that normal household LEDs emit.
Normal LEDs:
- High in blue and green light
- Low in red light
- Zero infrared light
Blue and green light in high amounts and without red and infrared light to balance it, is stressful on our bodies.
It takes a lot of energy for our cells to process the light which leads to premature aging and faster cell death.

Unpopular Opinion: DON’T Combine Red Light Therapy With Sauna!
Many people are combining the red light therapy sessions with a sauna session…
But that's not a good idea…
I'll tell you why you should keep them separate…
(PLUS I'll tell you the best way to get the deepest penetration with your red light therapy)
Biohackers Are Efficient Creatures:
I get it, it's tempting to try and do as many health habits at the same time as you can.
In your head, you think you can combine them and get all the benefits at once.
Maybe you'll get even more benefits if you do more things together…?
But as with many things in life…
More is not always better.

How To Use A Red Light Therapy Device Properly.
(Most Brands Don't Understand This)
There's a lot of confusion out there about how to get the most out of your red light...
And I blame the people selling them.
Here's some important things I've learnt in the last 8 years:
Don't Worry About The "BEST" Brand:
All of the top 5 brands that come up when you do a search have fantastic products. (Including my own - Red Light Rising)
You don't need to worry about the quality of the product anymore.
(Unless you're on Amazon. BE CAREFUL)
Worry more about the reputation of the company and the customer service.
Send them a message, describe your situation and see what kind of response you get.

Red Light Therapy for Dummies: 10 Key Concepts to Help You Understand It
When you first start researching red light therapy, it seems very overwhelming and confusing.
This thread will provide a simple explanation of everything you need to know about red light therapy before you get started.2. Red Light Therapy Has Been Very Well Studied.
To many people, red light therapy seems very obscure,
but the truth is there are thousands of published articles and studies researching red light therapy.
A quick search on PubMed reveals over 10,000 articles with the term “photobiomodulation”.
About 7000 of those are directly studying red and infrared light and its effect on mammals and humans.
About 80% of the studies show positive results, most of the rest are neutral and only a tiny percentage show negative results.
Certain experts believe that when neutral or negative results are achieved
it’s usually because the red light therapy is applied incorrectly, usually not giving enough exposure or giving too much.
