I walked around downtown Miami today interviewing homeless people.

Here’s what I’ve learned so far, a 🧵 Image As we were looking for a place to park, this sign called our attention

“Effective July 25, 2020 large group feedings require a permit. Large group feedings include a total of 25 individuals or more, including staff. If you don’t have a permit, you will be fined. 1st offense $250, 2nd offense $500, 3rd offense 12 month suspension from feedings. To learn more or to apply, contact feeding@miamigov.com

Department of Human services, homeless outreach.”

Hmmm… that’s odd. Why would I need a permit to feed hungry people? And why the fines for not asking the government for permission?Image

I get why you’re angry.

You were told to stay home.
You were told to do “the right thing” You got the jab. You wore the mask. You missed birthdays and holidays. You missed hugs, fresh air, traveling, and hanging out with your friends.
You didn’t get to see grandma that one /2 2. last time. You didn’t get to hold her hand. You didn’t get to comfort her in her final moments.

But it was for the best. You can’t get sick. You can’t risk giving someone the disease. You were the good one. You did everything right.

And now you’re sick. You still got it. /3

Haven’t you noticed that no matter how “We The People” feel about a subject, government will do whatever it wants and doesn’t care about what we actually want?

TSA? The Drug War? Criminal justice reform? No knock raids?
Healthcare? Wars? Spying on its citizens? Immigration?/2 How much longer are we going to just sit around and allow our money to be stolen from us under the guise of “the greater good”

Yet when we analyze “the greater good” it ALWAYS ends with some well connected person getting more favors? When is the greater good actually about /3

An honor High school student. He was killed on Tuesday by a Maryland state trooper. A thread 🧵 According to police, an un identified male caller reported Payton because he was “acting suspicious” and had a gun.

When police showed up, they claim Payton was in a “shooting stance” and pointed a gun at them. They then shot him.

My sons have air soft guns. They play with them frequently.They are not “asking for trouble” they are children with a toy.
