Cistern of St. Mocius was a huge open-air water reservoir near an important basilica dedicated to the local martyr named St. Mocius
Today is the feast day of St. Mocius
The Cistern of St. Mocius has been attributed to the reign of Anastasius, which brickstamps from the cistern seem to confirm. It is 170 x 147 meters and was at least 12 meters deep, while its ashlar walls are around 6 meters thick. It had a capacity of around 300,000 cubic meters

Capitoline Venus, a 2nd century AD Roman copy of Aphrodite of Knidos created by Praxiteles in the 4th century BC. It seems that the original statue was brought to Constantinople and placed in the Palace of Lausos in the early 5th century AD
Capitoline Venus is slightly different from the original, which probably depicted the Aphrodite’s gesture of modesty with only one hand, rather than with two as seen in this Roman copy.
