NEW CEA RESEARCH shows that in 2024, federal taxpayers spent💰$56.1 BILLION on Medicaid for working-age, childless adults working < 20 hours/week.

That’s **11%** of all federal Medicaid spending. More below 👇 1/5 Half of adults ages 19-64 on Medicaid (~18 million people) worked less than 20 hours/week last year.

Among those who don’t have a disability or children, 39% were not working at all.
