I doubt Jonathan is seriously proposing a solution to diabetes, metabolic syndrome, obesity, and other ills

But I think it accidentally highlights the limits and broken incentives in the fitness industry (yes,🤦, this turned into a 🧵) Let's treat this solution seriously

There were 234,000,000 American adults 18 and over in 2020. Let's use that as our number for who needs to be served (leaving kids out of the equation) /1

As it becomes better known and understood, #GLP1 will set a sharp bar for weight-loss coaches:

Semaglutide helps overweight and obese clients consistently (~60% of clients) lose and maintain 15% of their BW lost in 68 weeks (~16 months)

How will you beat that? 🧵 Maybe cost?

If weight loss is someone's priority and they have $1000 a month to spend, maybe the cost-benefit would favor you...

But can you deliver those consistent results?
