I also think there is some kind of damage involved: they are damaged in some way by the physical act of Exiling. I like the idea that they all gravitate to an archetypical identity as a result bc they no longer have access to their group identity, esp “Trooping Fae”
@kerastion Like either physical or psychological/emotional or all of the above. It is a traumatic thing and Fae have very grey morality contrasted with b/w ways of seeing the world. So result is they give each other/themselves labels, as *names* are still taboo
Dracula (book, which began my lifelong obsession w/ rl Vlad III & all the film versions)
Sheriff of Nottingham (film #princeofthieves played by Alan Rickman)
Dr H Lecter 1/
#Dracula bc he is FASCINATING as a character. He represents a lot of Victorian fears: he is the foreign invader immigrant, spreading corruption at the heart of the Empire; he is an old man daring to adapt & combat his irrelevance in the modern world.
