🧵 here because this has been bothering me for a while. More specifically about anime/manga:

A lot of people say "It's just fic/fiction!" "What does it matter?"

It DOES matter. Respecting the culture your favorite anime/manga/tv show/book series/movie comes from matters a lot. Some personal history! I'm Chinese-American. I absolutely adore anime. The reason why I love it so much is because when I was a child, it was the CLOSEST thing I could get to anything remotely like my culture. Why?

My family white-washed itself. On purpose.

Not with the marriage contract freshly signed, Shouta's name still drying. Hizashi can barely breathe as they leave the courthouse, hand tightly squeezing Shouta's. Is this real? Is this happening? A part of him still feels like he'll wake up back in the Yamada estate, his mother screaming at him to put his muzzle on and his father ready to punish him.

Shouta after the Hospital War arc, getting used to his eyepatch and prosthetic. New injuries, new scars, new ways to deal with them.

Then there's Eri. Eri who watches him in his peripheral as he's putting his eyepatch on as he's getting out of bed, as he straps his prosthetic on and then makes sure his pants cover it up. Who sees him always, always careful of the scars, keeping the eye covered and the stump in a special sock.

Okay real talk because I keep getting these comments/questions:

To anyone reading my fics, please do not ask for updates. I appreciate excitement for my works/writing, but I do not have a schedule. I am not going to commit to a schedule. I have said that I am sick - I have very severe POTS, I recently found out that I have lupus (and have had it for years), and I also recently found out that I have CMT type 3 (which is apparently why I have epilepsy as well). I am SICK. I am NOT going to get better.
