Under the AANES the Ezidi community was protected and had freedom unlike they did under the Assad era. When ISIS presence was growing in 2013. ISIS tried to attack the Ezidi village of Basofan, Efrin. @WilsonCenterMEP The YPG fought to protect the area and resulting in ISIS never setting foot in not only in Basufan but Efrin itself.
In SereKaniye ISIS only ever attacked once in which this attack was thwarted by the YPG.
