Oregonians' are proud of their "measures" that supposedly puts control directly in the voters hands.
Did we really get what we voted for?
In the 1990s we moved to Oregon partially on the premise that property taxes were going to increase slowly due to measures 5 & 50.
No!
Your core property tax rate is growing slowly, but Measures were used to unbundle what property tax used to pay for.
Now most everyone votes YES! I want higher property taxes when they approve the latest measure be it for:
Fire
Police
Schools
Parks
You name it

How do you upend the workforce?
1) Parents choose home schooling over work 2) Accelerate early retirements 3) Legalize drugs
Take a few million dads or moms out of the workforce who choose their family over the extra income.
So many idiots out there who can't do basic statistics, basic math, basic risk assessment. People who have been lock stock & sinker into the panic.
In Oregon... 35 deaths now under the age of 60. .17% that's fraction of a % have been marked a COVID death. With COVID...
How many current nursing home outbreaks are there?
It keeps going UP and UP and UP.
Currently 50.
So more nursing home outbreaks RIGHT NOW than total deaths under the age of 60.
